Ton has overall leadership within the EFC. He is the main contact for the customer and the person designated for breeding advice and information about IVF and ICSI.

Fieke, together with her husband Ton has overall direction. She is also employed and solely responsible for the work in the laboratory and administration.
Dr. John Dumoulin
Dr. John Dumoulin
John obtained his Masters degree in Biology in 1984 from the Radboud University
Nijmegen, the Netherlands and obtained his PhD in embryology at the University of
Maastricht in 1997. As laboratory director at the IVF Laboratory of the Maastricht
University Medical Centre (MUMC) since 1985 he has a vast experience in assisted
reproduction techniques and the in vitro culture of embryos. John is since the
foundation of the Equine Fertility Centre (EFC) in charge of the laboratory phase of
the IVF/ICSI treatment.

Twan Vullers
Twan works since 2009 at the Equine Fertiliy Centre. He is responsible for the financial administration, the agricultural part of the company and website maintenance.
Silvia Scaramella
Silvia Scaramella
Silvia Scaramella received her DVM from the Veterinary medicine Faculty of Perugia, in 2008.In 2010 and 2011 she worked in Equine Clinic De Bosdreef en De Morette. During this internship she worked in all aspect of medicine, neanatology and surgery with horses and neanatology. Since 2014 she is actively working in EFC, taking part in the selection of donor mares, collection of oocytes (OPU) and transferring of the blastocyst developed in the lab of EFC.

Marijke Bras
Marijke is a biomedical technician specialized in assisted reproduction techniques. She is an experts in micromanipulation techniques such as ICSI and
embryo biopsy. Because of her experience of many years in the IVF-laboratory of the MUMC she managed to implement the ICSI technique successfully in the horse.
Antonio Coppola
Antonio Coppola DVM obtained a degree as a chemical and biological technician, gaining experience in microbiology and laboratory techniques. In 2014 he graduated in Veterinary Medicine in the University of Bari (Italy). Since 2015 she is actively working at the equine Fertility Centre responsible for all the work involving OPU, and veterinarian work for the horses.

Marie Claire Bal
Marie Claire Bal DVM graduated in 2010 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Turin. She then moved to Ireland, where she worked in an Equine Hospital for almost four years, focusing in all the aspects of medicine and surgery of Thoroughbred racehorses. In 2015 she obtained a postgraduate diploma in Equine Sports Medicine from University College of Dublin. Since 2016, she joined the AEC veterinary team and she’s gaining experience in every field of equine reproduction.

Valentina Falchero
Valentina Falchero DVM graduated in 2010 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Perugia . After graduation she worked at a Stud Farm in Siena, the Satur Veterinary Clinic, the Scone Equine Fertility Center, Clovelly Scone Equine Hospital and Newcastle Equine Center and Dierenkliniek De Bosdreef gaining experience in the field of reproduction, equine Surgery, medicine and neonatology.
Valentina is part of the team of EFC primarily responsible for the OPU procedures and the gynecological work related to.

Ben Horsmans
Ben Horsmans
Ben has a private company in the German Selfkant and works part-time at the AEC. He supported our team with the check-ups of the mares and give veterinary advice.
